THERMAL TRANSMITTANCE

(UNI EN ISO 10077/1)

The thermal transmittance coefficient (UD) indicates how much energy (heat/refrigeration) does the door disperse through its surface. To calculate the UD numerical value [W/m2K], the data relating to the technical characteristics of the door must be entered in an appropriate calculation program.

This value is directly proportional to the heat that disperses through door, therefore the higher the UD of the door, the lower will be its ability to thermally insulate the living environment.
